Artist. In 1985 obtained her MA degree in Experimental Media from the Slade School of Fine Art, the London University College. In her practical and theoretical work examines the coupling of consciousness, technology and the body. Her projects were presented at various contemporary art exhibitions in numerous galleries and museums, incl. the Central Space Gallery (London, 1990), the Exeter Memorial Museum (Exeter, 1991), the A Virtual Museum (Cleveland, 1995), the Institute of Contemporary Arts (London, 1996), the Centre for Contemporary Arts (Vilnius, 1998), the Millais Gallery (Southampton Institute, Southampton, 1999), the Kettles Yard Gallery (NOISE Project, Cambridge, 2000), the Lab (The Gateway Project, San Francisco, 2001) and many others; and also within the frameworks of "State of the Image" (Antwerp, Cultural Capital of Europe 93). Her video works appeared at such festivals as Ars Electronica (Linz), Femme Totalle (Dortmund), the European Media Art Festival (Osnabrueck), the New Visions Media Festival (Glasgow), the Video Fest (Berlin), Konzept Art von Frauen (Bremen), Video Positive (Liverpool), the Edinburgh Film Festival (Edinburgh) and others. Lectures and presentations given at different conferences and symposiums at such venues as the British Film Institute (London), the Royal College of Art (London), I.S.E.A. (Helsinki), the University of Wales (Newport), the Cambridge University (Cambridge), also at the French Ministry of Culture, (Paris) and "Documenta X" (Kassel). From 1993 to 1996 she was course director of Post Graduate Electronic Imaging at the DJCA (University of Dundee). She was lecturer in Experimental Digital Culture at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design (Fernham, 1996-2001) and is now senior lecturer in Time Based Art at the Department of Arts and Media.
